This 18th Century French Confit Pot, also known as a pot á graisse. This beautiful pot was found in the South of France and was traditionally used for preserving meats such as duck or goose. The unglazed bottom half was designed to be buried in the ground or stored in a cellar to keep the contents cool and fresh. This Pot, with so much history, can now be used as a beautiful decorative piece in your kitchen.
